‘aLu’ is a seatings design constructed from prefabricated aluminum profiles, assembled with slit joinery.

While minimizing the production process, the joints securely hold the components together, creating sturdy and efficient structure. The frame is formed from a simple angled cuts and bent L-profiles. Slits in each frame interlock with corresponding components, naturally locking the structure. By adjusting the position of these slits, a variety of seating dimensions can be easily achieved, enabling flexible customization.

Staying true to its minimized construction logic, the seating surface is attached with screws, allowing for easy repair, replacement, or adjustment.
